Privacy Policy — Frontdoor
Last updated: 2026-09-24
Frontdoor ("the app") is developed by LeadRescue LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles and, just as importantly, what it does not do with it.
Summary
Frontdoor stores all of your data locally, on your device, and never transmits it anywhere. There is no account, no login, no server, and no analytics or advertising SDK in the app.
What data the app stores
When you use Frontdoor, it stores the following only on your device, in a local database and app-private file storage:
- Item information you enter: name, category, purchase date, purchase price, warranty length, retailer, maintenance interval, maintenance history, and notes
- Receipt or manual photos you choose to attach, copied into the app's private storage folder
- App settings: your preferred reminder lead time, and whether you've purchased the unlimited-items unlock
What the app does NOT do
- It does not have network/internet access. The app's Android manifest does not request the INTERNET permission, so it is technically incapable of sending data anywhere.
- It does not collect analytics, crash reports, advertising identifiers, or usage telemetry.
- It does not create an account or ask for your name, email, or any other personal identifier.
- It does not share, sell, or transmit your data to LeadRescue LLC, to any third party, or to any server, because no such transmission path exists in the app.
Camera and photo access
If you choose to attach a receipt or manual photo, the app can open your device camera or photo gallery. Any photo you select is copied into the app's private storage immediately; the app does not retain access to the original photo location, and the copy is deleted if you remove the photo or delete the item.
Notifications
The app schedules local notifications (via Android's WorkManager) to remind you before a warranty expires or maintenance is due. These are generated and delivered entirely on-device; no push-notification server or third-party notification service is involved.
Data export
Frontdoor includes an optional "Export to zip" feature (available after the unlimited-items unlock) that lets you save all of your item data and receipt photos into a single zip file, using Android's standard file picker (Storage Access Framework). This is the only way your data ever leaves the device, and it only happens when you explicitly choose to export and choose a save location. LeadRescue LLC has no visibility into, or copy of, your exported file.
Data deletion
Deleting an item removes it, its maintenance history, and its receipt photo from the device immediately. Uninstalling the app removes all of its data (subject to Android's standard app-data backup behavior, which is limited to your own device/Google Account backup and is never accessed by LeadRescue LLC).
Children's privacy
Frontdoor is a general household utility not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children, consistent with it not collecting information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, an updated version will be included in the app's store listing and at this URL.
