Privacy Policy — Ledger

Ledger ("the app") is developed by LeadRescue LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains, specifically and completely, what happens to your data when you use Ledger.
The short version
Ledger does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data with anyone, because it has no way to. The app requests zero network-related permissions — there is no INTERNET permission and no other permission that would let it reach the internet at all. Every subscription you add, every charge amount you log, and every setting you choose is stored only in a local database on your device.
What data Ledger stores, and where
Ledger stores the following, entirely on your device, using Android's private app storage (a Room/SQLite database and a local preferences store that only Ledger itself can read):
- Subscription details you enter: name, category, amount, currency, billing cycle, renewal
- Charge history you manually log: the amount charged, the date, and any note you add.
- Your app settings: default currency, notification lead time, and light/dark/system theme

None of this data is linked to your identity, an account, or an advertising ID, because Ledger has no accounts, no sign-in, and no advertising SDK of any kind.
What Ledger does NOT do
- No account or sign-in. There is nothing to create, verify, or log into.

Notifications
Ledger can show a local reminder notification a few days before a subscription renews. This notification is generated and scheduled entirely on your device using Android's WorkManager and NotificationManager; it does not involve any external server or push-notification service. On Android 13 and later, Ledger asks for notification permission only when you add your first subscription, and only if you haven't already granted or denied it.
Exporting your data
Ledger lets you export your subscriptions and charge history to a CSV file (a feature included with the Pro upgrade). You choose exactly where that file is saved using Android's built-in file picker (Storage Access Framework) — Ledger writes only to the location you pick, and does not otherwise access your device's file system.
In-app purchase
Ledger offers a one-time "Pro" purchase (unlimited subscriptions and CSV export) processed through Google Play's billing system. Google, as the payment processor, handles your payment information according to its own privacy policy; Ledger itself never receives or stores your payment details.
Data deletion
Because all of your data lives only in Ledger's local app storage, you can delete it at any time by:
- Deleting individual subscriptions inside the app, or
- Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage/data from Android Settings, which permanently
removes everything Ledger has ever stored.
There is no server-side copy for us to delete, because none exists.
Children's privacy
Ledger is a personal finance utility intended for general audiences and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data from anyone at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of Ledger adds an optional cloud-sync feature — we will update this document and the in-app version number, and any new data collection will be clearly disclosed and, where required, opt-in.
